Musk’s First Mail to Twitter Employees: Remote Work is No Allowed

VoxPop – The new owner of Twitter Inc, Elon Musk, sent an email to employees for the first time on November 9, 2022. Several new policies are presented by Elon Musk, one is that remote work is no longer allowed.
Not only that, but Elon Musk also said that the future economic picture is very dire, especially for Twitter companies that depend on advertising.
“Frankly, the economic picture ahead is dire, especially for a company like ours that is so dependent on advertising in a challenging economic climate. Moreover, 70% of our advertising is brand, rather than specific performance, which makes us doubly vulnerable!” Wrote Elon Musk in an Email to Twitter’s employees, as quoted from The Verge.
Elon Musk also urged all employees to be ready to face a difficult path that requires hard work to succeed. Therefore, Elon Musk made a new policy, namely, remote work is no longer allowed.
“The road ahead is arduous and will require intense work to succeed. We are also changing Twitter policy such that remote work is no longer allowed unless you have a specific exception. Managers will send the exception lists to me for review and approval.” Elon Musk said.

Elon Musk also emphasized that employees must come to the office at least 40 hours per week.
“Everyone is required to be in the office for a minimum of 40 hours per week. If you are physically unable to travel to an office or have a critical personal obligation, then your absence is understandable.” Elon Musk added.
Previously, the new Twitter boss had raised the price for a Twitter Blue subscription to US$8 and attached user "Verification" to the subscribed account. Not only that, but Elon Musk also made changes and mass layoffs to Twitter employees.
