ChatGPT Rolls Out Voice Chat Feature for Free Users

Jakarta – Currently, OpenAI launched the Voice Chat feature on ChatGPT. This aims to free users on both Android and iOS platforms.
Initially launched in September, this feature was exclusively available to Plus and Enterprise subscribers, but as of Wednesday, it’s been extended to free users as well.
ChatGPT users can start a conversation with their assistant, which responds to them using a synthetic voice.
All you have to do is press the headphones icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your smartphone screen, provided that the application is up-to-date.

Once you've launched this feature, you no longer need to hold the phone in your hand or even look at the screen.
All you have to do is talk to the voice assistant, which will immediately recognize the language (English, French, etc).
All your conversations will be stored in your history in the form of written transcriptions, which you can then delete as you wish or keep as an archive.
"As an alternative to typing your question into a text, users can now simply tap a button and ask ChatGPT your question verbally. The AI Chatbot will convert your speech into text and feed it into the Large Language Model (LLM)," as reported by Android Authority.
Having a two-way conversation will be an interesting experience. With its capabilities, users will feel like they have an assistant like Google Assistant or Alexa, but ChatGPT has a higher level of intelligence in presenting information.

To start a voice conversation on ChatGPT, there are a few steps to take first.
The first step is to download the ChatGPT app which can be accessed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
