Hyundai Indonesia Recalls Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 Over ICCU Software Update

Jakarta – Hyundai, the electric car company from South Korea has recalled its electric vehicle, Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 in Indonesia.
It is because the company want to update the software on the Integrated Charge Control Unit (ICCU) component, in order to improve the battery charging quality of the electric vehicles.
“This software update is important to improve the quality of battery charging and provide a more optimal driving experience for our customers,” said Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) Chief Operating Officer Fransiscus Soerjopranoto from an official statement on Monday.
The recall process includes checking and work that only lasts about 20 minutes and is carried out by certified technicians from Hyundai global.

Electric car owners can perform the software update at the nearest authorized Hyundai dealer, free of charge.
HMID will contact affected customers through various communication channels, such as official letters, mass media, Hyundai's official website, and HMID call center.
As information, this software update is only intended for vehicles with a specific Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
HMID continues to monitor software updates on Hyundai electric vehicles to provide peace of mind from its customers.
