Jakarta – WhatsApp is the world's most popular instant messaging platform. Apart from text messages, people also use the platform to share media files such as photos, audios, or videos with family and friends.
However, users often face problems when sending large files on WhatsApp. As note, there is a file size limit of 100 MB which was later increased.
As mentioned, there is a 100MB file size limit on WhatsApp, which was later increased to 2GB in 2022.

1. Open the WhatsApp chat window where you want to share the file, and tap the attachment icon (pin).
2. Next, from the pop-up menu, tap the Documents iconDocumentspop-up tap the Documents icon.
3. Now, simply browse and select the file you want to share.

Use Google Drive
The first and probably the best method that can be used to send large files on WhatsApp is Google Drive. Users can upload and share large videos on WhatsApp using the Google Drive link. Here's how.
1. Once the file is uploaded, tap the three-dot menu next to the file and open the Share option.
2. On the next screen, tap 'Manage Access' and tap the 'Change' option.
3. Now, tap on 'Restricted' and change the access to 'Anyone with a link'.
4. Finally, click on the Pin icon to copy the file link, and share it on WhatsApp. The Google Drive link will allow your contacts to view the file, and even download it.
