Jokowi Inaugurates the Largest Traditional Market in Indonesia

Batu – The Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Thursday inaugurated the Among Tani Traditional Market in Batu City, East Java. The traditional market can accomodate 2,700 stalls with an area of 3,4 hectares.
"Among Tani Traditional Market in Batu City, East Java Province, which was built since 2021, has been completed and can be utilized by traders to sell again," President Jokowi stated.
The Head of State said that Among Tani Market can accommodate 2,700 kiosks and loses which can all be used for trading both in the wet zone, dry zone, and food and culinary zone.

"I see this is the largest market I have ever seen in the Indonesian. Occupying 3.4 hectares, the building is very magnificent, three floors, everything is well-organized," the President remarked.
In fact, the President saw that the stalls in this market are very well organized, for culinary also separated by themselves.
Therefore, President Jokowi said that this market will be a clean market, a well-organized market, and a very large parking lot.
"So, we expect traders to be more in demand, more prosperous. By saying the Name of God, I inaugurate Among Tani Traditional Market in Batu City, East Java Province," President Jokowi stated.
Also attending the inauguration were Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuldjono, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
